OwnTempo: Potty Training

Delete your account.

You can delete your OwnTempo account inside the app or ask us to delete the account and associated cloud data. Core, device-only use does not require an account.

Account deletion is permanent. It is different from logging out and different from deleting only the records stored on one device.

Delete directly in OwnTempo

This is the fastest path when you can sign in to the account.

  1. Open OwnTempo and sign in to Family Sharing.
  2. Open the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to the account actions and choose Delete account, directly above Log out.
  4. Read the irreversible warning and choose Delete account again to confirm.

Firebase may require a recent sign-in for security. If OwnTempo asks, log out, sign in again, and repeat the deletion steps. Never send us your password or a private Family Sharing invitation code.

Request deletion from the web

If you cannot use the in-app path, email us from the address connected to the OwnTempo account. State that you want the OwnTempo account and associated cloud data deleted. You may include your platform (iOS or Android), but do not include passwords, child records, or invitation codes.

Email the privacy team

We may ask you to verify control of the account. We aim to complete a verified request within 30 days, unless applicable law requires a different period. We will confirm completion or explain any limited data that must be retained.

What deletion covers

Deleted or disconnected

  • Your Firebase Authentication identity and sign-in access
  • Account-specific Family Sharing membership and index data after a verified cloud-data request
  • Cloud data associated solely with your account
  • The authenticated Shared Care projection cached on the device when deletion is completed in the app

May remain for a limited reason

  • Family records another caregiver independently retains in a shared family space
  • Minimal security, fraud-prevention, or legal records where retention is required
  • Provider backups while they complete scheduled deletion
  • Copies you exported or sent to other apps or people

Where a shared family record must remain for another active caregiver, we remove or separate your account identifiers where feasible. Google states that Firebase Authentication data is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days after deletion is initiated. Security records may be kept only for the period needed for the stated purpose or required by law.

Delete records stored only on your device

Device-only care records are not part of an online account. To erase them, open OwnTempo and choose Settings → Privacy and diagnostics → Delete all local data. Export first if you want a copy. You can also remove OwnTempo's app data using your device settings.

If the device still has an active shared profile, finish account deletion or log out before clearing the remaining local-only records.
